Skillet Pasta With Shrimp and Mushrooms
Ingredients:
12 oz pasta of choice
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1/2 lb of peeled, deveined shrimp
2 cups broccoli flrests
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parm
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
S&P to taste
Fresh parsley chopped (optional)
Cook pasta. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta based on pasta type and instructions until al dente
During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the water. Drain and set aside
Cook the shrimp or chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook your protein of choice. Add the shrimp or cubed chicken with seasoning (salt, pepper and, seasoning). Cook 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken or shrimp is fully cooked. Remove and set aside
Saute Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Make the Sauce. Lower the heat to medium and add the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well to combine and simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add Cheese: Stir in the grated cheese and continue to cook, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Combine Everything
